Hi Half, yes I thought it was only me too. So I'm feeling better now that others are affected too.
Here's hoping it's fixed soon....

Can I ask again What exactly is happening now when you try and open your trees?

Does a new page open? Are you seeing the messages about sprouting roots? Do you see a green page appear?

If the answer to these questions is no, then clearing internet history etc is unlikely to help you as the problem probably lies elsewhere.

There has been mention of the following error message

"Site Error
Your request can not be processed at the moment.
Please try again later
Check the FAQ section Return to the home page "

The last line tends to indicate that it is a GR generated message, in which case they should be able to explain the circumstances in which this message is created.

Can I ask if anyone getting the error message is using a Firewall?

Hiya Brinsley
Yes a new page opens, and it only shows that error message of 4 lines. I don't see anything else at all.
I am using avast for internet security, if that may make a difference? Wonder what the other guys are using?

It's got nothing to do with whether im using firefox or not..i know why it's not working for me like i have stated this isn't the 1st time it's happened & it to do with the characters i have at the side of my name

Peter

Like i have said it's NOT the 1st time it's happened to me so i know where my problem lies
& i have already stated GR need to sort it

What Heidi has wrong is totally different to what Me & Ellan have wrong

Ok guys, here's a curveball for you...
I got a tree invite and being stubborn clicked on it anyway, ...and it worked! So then I noticed that their tree is on the gr.COM.AU site as they live down under. I then bungled my way into my tree from the drop down box on that page and I can see it. And I don't have any aussie relatives at all.
So why can I only see trees hosted on the Australian website ????, and nothing on the .CO.UK one ????

Thanks MGHS

That just goes to show that they didn't read this thread...As i know why i can't see my tree & it the same reason as to why i couldn't see it the last time GR made changes.

Hi

They must have read this thread to delete some of the messages, but they still haven't done anything about it ...............

I have access to other people's tree's and when in their tree I key in the name of the person we have corresponded about and get the following message:

'Sorry, there was a problem connecting to the Genes Reunited site'

Now I may be thick but how can there be a problem, when I am already in it.

grrrrr ........................................... at the moment I feel as though I am paying for a facility that I am not able to use............ as this has been going on since at least the beginning of April which is 2 whole months

Regards

Half Pint

I have also been getting a message for a couple of weeks now that the website is not available. I have only been able to access it by asking "Why can I not open GR?"
