Whenever I click on anyone's tree I've got access to, I get this error message:

This has been non-stop since I rejoined GR on Wednesday morning (I've been away).
I've tried to use the Contact Us email thing and get the same message!

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!

newforester Report 4 Jun 2009 22:17

Already read the other thread before posting mine, but F5 didn't fix it.
And it's not my tree I can't see, it's those I've got permission to view - now I've got a dozen new tree invites in the last two days and I can't look at them.
eeeeek

newforester Report 5 Jun 2009 07:01

Aaah, I thought I could open my tree, but have just discovered I can't open mine or anyone else's either....
I've tried:
Adobe v9
Restarting
F5 at the error message
Trying several times over three days
Going through my tree
Different invite emails
Deleting internet browsing history (it's set to automatic when i close anyway)

I've got XP and IE7, nothing fancy or complicated.

Has anyone else got any ideas please?

Have you checked, by going to Messages and then clicking on Contacts on left, that these people have actually opened their trees to you.

I often get messages that say 'I have opened my tree to you' when in fact they haven't. You can tell if they have because there will be a tick instead of a cross under Access to Their Tree.

Information under HELP top right hand of page.

What exactly is happening now when you try and open your tree? Does a new page open? Are you seeing the messages about sprouting roots? Do you see a green page appear?

I am having the same problem, been like it for weeks now. I can't open my own or anyone elses tree. I cannot contact GR either. All I get is an error message.
Would it be possible for someone who can contact GR to alert them that we are having this problem?
I am getting most frustrated and concerned, although some of my information I do have elsewhere, I don't have all of it and am now afraid that I have lost some.
The little bit of my tree that I see on my home page shows that some of my dates have been altered, this was not done by me, I know my grandmother was not born in 2008!
Any help would be welcome at this point!
Thanks
Ellan

Great, it won't let me change anything in my account! It would appear I am effectively locked out.

Hiya Ellan and others
Yes that's the same error message I get when I click on my tree, any one else's trees. And yes they do have ticks next to them on my contacts.
I did remove the squiggles from my name yesterday.
Managed to log it eventually with GR and they said download latest flash player, delete internet history and allow popups.
DID ALL THAT AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!
Want to cry now.
(MGHS - thanks for contacting GR for us.)

I have just added a new topic with more or less the same problem. I first reported the problem to genes on the 4th April so they are aware of it ..........

I was beginning to believe it was my computer but it obviously isn't. Hopefully genes are still monitoring this board and take notice.......
