Hi Kath
I tried finding it on ancestry and had no luck. Look on this site and you will find it easily.

Hi Denise (if your still there)
Looking several times at the info you found earlier and I don't recognise the surname as Teullius. This is a new one on me, or does it mean something else? I am still a bit green on a lot, obviously. I thought the household was Jenkins.
I'll say again thank you to all that is helping.

Hi Ricochet
The occupation on the Marriage certificate is a collier

Hi,

The1891 census I posted with the surname Teullius, was your Jenkins family. Unfortunately the name was mistranscribed on Ancestry.

Richard on the 1891 census is a Collier.

However I can't see the family in 1881, well apart from Gwen who's still at home with mum.......... so it's looking like Gwen was the stepmother.

I think most of the researchers on GR use Ancestry......... it's cheaper than searching on here.

Going back to the marriage certificate of Margaret and Isaac, the other witness to their marriage was a John Jones. In the 1991 census I think Margaret was living at 11 Lesburne Rd, Tregaron with Grand parents John and Sarah Jones. There is also a Sarah Jenkins aged 13. I am not 100% sure this is the same Margaret, do you think this is a strong possibility? With Richard being a collier, there is a strong possibility he had an accident in the mines. I haven't looked into it yet but I will shortly.

Hi Kathleen (if your still there)
Going back to the original enquiry, I have looked through my rejected certifcate applications and the certificates from the June qtr Merthyr T 11a 495 and 11a 476 I only put Margaret Jenkins on the form. Would you still suggest trying these references again?

Hi Ricochet.
Had to pop out to see neighbour. Margaret was 18 when she got married on 3/04/1899, they got married in Pontypridd registrar Office.

Catherine

Catherine Report 25 May 2009 15:11

Yes, that was the only one that I found that had any connection. Like yourselves I searched for Margaret in the 1991 and found nothing, when I received the marriage certificate with a John Jones as a witness I new it is not from Isaac's side of the family so started looking for any connections with Jenkins and Jones under 1 roof.
Isaac's side of the family was very religious, that's why none were at their wedding. Isaac married the servant from the Evans's household, because they married in a registrar office, Isaac's mother was recalled calling it a dog licence.
Sorry to go on a bit, bit I think I have logic somewhere.
