Death in South Africa

My g.grandfather died in South Africa in 1909 in a mining accident. Could anyone please tell me if a death cert. would have to be issued here as I can't find any record of one. Also where could I find out more information about this accident. One of my uncle's thinks he was buried in the local parish churchyard but I can't find any record of this. |

If he died in South Africa and he wasn't in the army then I don't think a death certificate would be issued in England. I'm pretty sure his death would have been registered in South Africa. |
