I doubt whether you would be able to get access to your dad's medical records from that time (if indeed they still exist). |

My cousin has just rung me and remembered that my father had a major operation when he was very young to remove a lump from his head. The lump apparently contained skin, hair and teeth, and rumour has it that he was a twin, and the twin partially developed in my dad's head.. My dad was told, as a child, that he had a hole in the heart and was banned from any physical activity at school. Nothing seems to have been followed up from this. My dad went on to lead a normal life with no problems until he had a heart attack in his 60s, and even then he lived until he was 79, and died of stomach cancer. |
