Thanks David, That sounds more like the right time. In 1841 they are living at Knutton Heath, which is in the parish of Wolstanton at that time, now it would be Newcastle Staffs,not sure of the list of names though lol |

Thank you David but Alfred is 2 on 1841 census so unless they were very late registering him I don't think it can be him but I will find out, they are very good they will ring me if it's right or wrong at Staffs Reg. |

Am I going mad or has the GRO birth index gone from Ancestry, I can see 1916 onwards but not before has anyone else noticed or am I missing something. |
