Thank you again everyone. I think the sensible thing is to list the possibilities (I had found some and you have given others) and visit reg offices (and/or LMA as advised). On the other hand, I might send my sister - she lives in London so not so much of a trek as from the wilds of Wiltshire! |

It could be a tough one. They moved all over the place. Married in Westminster, births elsewhere, Wandsworth in 1901. |

I know that my grandmother gave birth to 3 children who did not survive infancy/childhood. I don't know their names but have a good idea about where and when they were born/died. With this I have a number of possibilities from the death registers. Here's the question - I don't want to buy all the possible certs because some may be wrong. Is one allowed (on a visit to the appropriate office) to peruse the possibilities to choose the right ones? Hope that make sense! |
