On my G/G/father James Baxter 1869 birth cer has mother Elizabeth Baxter no father, at his wedding he has father Robert Collins soldier. |

Rickinghall Inferior Parish Records 1653-1984 are held at the Ipswich Branch of Suffolk Records Office. When he was baptised it may show his fathers name in the parish records. The records office may be worth an email. Good luck Irene |

You may find that James is mentioned in a Will of his supposed father. |
