Has Anyone got time to help me find the death record of my gt gt grandfather JOSEPH HUNT born 1854 in Smethwick Staffordshire, found his wife Clarick died in 1915 aged 60, says on her death cert "wife of" Joseph Hunt, so he must have died after her, I have been through records for 1925-1930 without success, I think that in the 1920's and after deaths in Smethwick were registered in Birmingham and not Kings Norton as previously. Would love to get another ancestor sorted out. Any info gratefully received. Thanks Karen. |

Yes Jonesey this is the correct Joseph Hunt, Clarick is the correct spelling, seems to have been an old family name carried on as far as my Aunt. |

Well he was still alive in 1911 - this is from the index only, but if you put in Clarick Hunt in the "other members of household" you can determine which other Hunts are in the same dwelling, and Joseph is there. Both Joseph & Clarick seem to have lost a couple of years in age, so the death that Jonesey found above looks good: |

Hi Richard, Jonesey and all who helped me with this search. Thought I would let you know that the Death Cert for Joseph Hunt arrived today, and the correct one to boot! Very helpful, found he was still living at the Poplar Street address shared with Clarick and the family, although he died in what I know to be Dudley Road Hospital on 4th May 1921. An added bonus is that the informant of the death is one of his daughters I had struggled to find a marriage for, so now have her married name, Frances E. Blount and address in 1921 which is in West Bromwich, birds and stones come to mind! |
