I have a the birth cert for my husbands father born in Stoke 1931- mother Doris Davies - no father. I know Doris ' married ' a man called field and lived in london had another son James Field born 1937 but cannot find a marr. or death for Doris. |

When you say that you can't find the marriage, have you looked through the complete images quarter by quarter? |

maybe they were not married. if Mr Field went along with Doris to register the birth of James, his name could be put on the birth certificate.It might be worth buying this certificate because this will tell you what Doris's name was at that time |
