Another possibility is that Emma had been married before so that any index ref for her second marrieage would have her first married name, not her maiden name. If that is the case, one of the children's birth certs should have this info on it. |

In 1891 my great grandmother is shown as married to her 2nd husband. Their 3 daughters are with them, all registered in his name. |
