Hi Jennifer it seems we are trying to find the same family

Sorry Christine I'm talking rubbish. I have found Walter Alfred in 1911. He is living alone in Peckham and says he is a widower. He was a 'conductor' I doubt if that means of an orchestra - more likely a bus! I have bought that certificate. I can't find the other family.

I'm trying to link the two families together.
John George Richardson 1856 Chelsea. Spouse: Mary Warren. Children:Frederick, Emily, Thomas,John , Mary, Charles, WIlliam all born in WImbledon
and Walter Alfred, son of Charles RIchardson born in Nunhead.
My friend Kelly is the grand daughter of the Frederick in this list.

I haven't been able to find them in 1911 yet but I believe more records are coming later on and will tyr again.

i think the link must be in a generation further back - say John and Walter's grandparents for example

Have you found them on the 1911 census?

Which Frederick are you trying to find links with?

Hi Christine - thanks for that. Yes, I think those are the right census reports for Walter. Can you see any links with Frederick? Purveyor of horse flesh sounds like a traveller , doesn't it?

Thanks Diddydoris - i think that is Frederick's father John. I would love to find something with Walter and John together. or a connection further back in the previous generation. Walter Alfred is the grandfather of the infamous Charlie Richardson but he is very hard to find on a census with his family. John George is the G Grandfather of my friend Kelly and she wants to find out how she is connected to the thugs of South London (don't ask why!!). There has been a story in her family and most of her living relatives won't talk about it.

I'm looking for a connection between the following two people:

John George Richardson 1856 Chelsea. Spouse: Mary Warren. Children:Frederick, Emily, Thomas,John , Mary, Charles, WIlliam all born in WImbledon.

AND

Walter Alfred Richardson born 1885 in Peckham son of Charles and Harriet Richardson. Child: Charles Frederick Richardson 1909. born in Fulham.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
The only other info I have is that Charles Frederick was said to have been the eldest of 13 children (possibly not all of the name Richardson -may have been a second marriage to Hummerston) and I believe Walter Alfred had a traveller's funeral on Mitcham Common. Charles Frederick married Eileen Elizabeth Mary Allen. in 1933 and Walter Alfred was dead then.
