Help, I have a mystery surrounding a great Aunt.
Emmeline Jane Gibbs married in St Lukes Church Victoria Docks Frederick James Donovan from Ireland 29/031897. She was 21 he was 27 he was an engineer. His fathers name was Henry Thomas Donovan a Coppersmith.

My Aunt married again 06/01/1917 in Brentford registrars a Fredrerick James Moore, she was 40 he was 45/48? He was an electrician. His fathers name was Henry Thomas Moore a Coppersmith.

What are the chances of marrying two men with the same christian names whose Fathers have the same names and the same occupation?
I cannot find a death for her first husband either and on the second marriage line she has reverted to her maiden name is calling herself a spinster. And he is a batchelor.
Does anyone think he may have had to change his name even so why would they marry again. They had no children so there is no one researching their tree. I know they lived in Chiswick from 1918-1956 and they both died in chiswick One last strange thing is she witnessed her sisters marriage in 1903 as Jane Moore but she was not a Moore then officially!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know she called herself Jane Moore rather that Emmeline Moore in the early 1900's as I have seen it registered this way in the archives.
It is proving a mystery and I cannot get to the bottom of it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.
Elaine
PS It is definately the same person in both marriages. I have her on the 1901 living as the wife of Frederick Donovan. I cannot trace them on the 1911 census at all but I do have their burial records in Chiswick as Mr and Mrs moore
