but you also may not get the birth certificate if the reference details you provide are not EXACTLY the same as on the certificate ................ which may be the case if there has been a mis-spelling error. |

I think you can do a reference check, you put the names you want but they charge you £3 if it is not the one you want. |

I would like to order a birth certificate but only if the first and last names of the birth mother match that of my grandmother. If she is not the mother then I will not be needing it. I have the correct volume number, year etc but wondered how to go about it as I have only ever ordered from GRO as a straightforward request. Would I still have to pay if the birth mother is different to the one I'm looking for as I don' t want it sent out otherwise? |
