I heard that the broadband was under a lot of strain yesterday and probably today as people were working from home because of the snow. Perhaps it will improve with the weather :) |

I too found Ancestry very slow these past few days. It seems to take so much longer to switch from one screen to another now. I gave up yesterday as it was trying my patience!! |

It's been a total nightmare for a few months now. I upgraded my membership to World and about a week later they changed their server and everything slowed down. They say they are working on it............well I'm still waiting and won't be renewing next year unless things improve dramatically. I resent the fact that I paid all that money to upgrade as have millions of other people and they still find it necessary to put adverts on the site..............why!! Just a case of 'much wants more' or 'I can so I will'. Well I'm sorry but a little bit of customer respect wouldn't go amiss. |

Do you think it could be the adverts they put on the site? They seem to slow it down a lot- especially those big ones down the side. Nothing seems to load until they have fully appeared. Should they be doing this when we have paid so much for access? - just wondering. |

For the births, look under the New Records on Ancestry section. You will see England & Wales, Birth Index: 1916-2005 |
