I cannot really help with this, although I have the same problem. My G.Grandfather has been found under various guises, George Arthur, George and Arthur. It seems he preferred hismiddle and I have found far more documentation under this name. His final marriage to my G.Grandmother was under the name Arthur and yet his death certificate is under the name George Arthur. Personally I would try all combinations. |

Can anyone help me, my great grandfather seems to be down as Alfred Arthur on his wedding and daughters birth certificate. Yet when I search for her in the 1911 Census and other census he is down as Arthur it is Arthur according to freebmd on his birth certificate. Can anyone explain please? |
