I have recently obtained my Ggrandfather's Death Certificate and discovered that he died at the age of 81yrs on 11/11 1934. |

It will probably have been reported in the local paper which was/is the Sentinel and Stoke on Trent Archives hold copies on microfilm. |

If they can't help, I will be visiting eventually but probably not till easter time if you can wait that long. Although I only live 1/2 mile, away, their late night opening is on the only night I have to work!! |

The article did not enlighten us to how David ended up in the canal. What a sad way for an 81 year old to end up. |
