'Tis a shame they don't have my great great grandfather but it's a fantastic website nevertheless. Will pass the link on to my niece and nephews not to mention some other kids who'll appreciate it. (Not forgetting their parents and my Mother!) |

If you know which prison it was there may be records available, either at the National Archives or at the Local Records Office. If you know when and where the crime took place, a search of newspapers would be worthwhile! |

Hi. Does anybody know if there are records that can be searched to reveal why somebody went to prison in the late 1800s early 1900s? |
