I ahve just had an email to remind me that my Ancestry subscription is due at the end of the month. |

Am lucky enough to have them both, think they are both good to have but personnally i would say ancestry as i have used that for 2 yrs now and found loads of info. I have only just got find my past in Dec due to an offer so am still new to it. Don't know what other people think. |

The different sites have their strengths and weaknesses. They also seem to have incomplete sets of census returns. My g g grandparents are nowhere to be found in the 1851 census collection on Ancestry, but are there on The Genealogist. Have exactly the reverse situation for a g g aunt. She and her family are missing from both the 1891 and 1901 collections on TG, but are there on Ancestry. |

Remember too that the cheapest Ancestry subscription now only gives access to basic information i.e. B.M.D.'s and census. |
