Sometimes the father might name the child in his Will, if he has been providing for the child. |

Like the CSA then- however I would take the info with a pinch of salt- I think maybe the man named would be able to afford the payment- hmmm cynical me maybe. |

It can be very annoying, I have an ancestor born illegitimately in 1817, and there are no Bastardy Bonds, to prove who the father was, or to even show who the father was. |
