Hi Jim and Hazel:
I figured out how to search on Canadian Ancestry, using: approximate date of birth, place of birth England, living in Manitoba, immigrated in 1908 - and I cannot see the family in Manitoba in 1911! (Tried the searches without using first or last names.)

I am also surprised that Arthur is not on the Attestation papers from 1914-1918. (Although I believe I have a few ancestors who are also not on the papers!)

Hi Hazel: I don't like to admit defeat (which is why I came back to this thread) and I just don't see them anywhere in 1911. Perhaps they were not at home during the census?

Recent Canadian records are restricted. I was hoping they either had more children (born in Manitoba), or that little Elizabeth married young. I don't see anything for your family:

Hi Hazel and Lisa
I have tried every which way and I think I have found everything that there is.
So they were newlyweds in 1901.He emigrated on his own she joined him in 1908 they returned to England twice for a holiday.
I have not found a birth for the child Elizabeth which is a bit strange?
I have heard of unrelated children travelling with an adult as their child.

Hi Jim and Hazel: I "feel" like there is something out there still to be found, but can't find anything. Hazel, is there any chance that he would have changed his name? Do you know his occupation?

I found Winnipeg newspaper archives and got two "hits" (one for each name) but cannot see where on the page the name is mentioned.

I also found a search page for Winnipeg cemeteries, and didn't see their names:
http://www.winnipeg.ca/PPD/cemetery_searchpage.stm
However, they may have left Winnipeg before they passed away.

I wonder if they eventually returned to England?

I also don't see Arthur or Elizabeth on the Cemetery Finding Aids (Ontario, British Columbia and Saskatchewan). Not too surprising, if they lived in those provinces, as most of my rellies/ancestors are not in the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid.
