Hi Jan, there are a couple of wills on the National Archives site which may help you. I can't see a will for Job Yardley, but there are two for Joseph Yardleys of Tanworth, one in 1818 and one in 1829. |

Just in case anyone is still out there - my mystery is solved! The will was the key, but as it happens I have found someone else who has already obtained it! What a stroke of luck. Jennifer has very kindly shared the information it contains which has clarified everything. It was actually the will of the two Catharines' grandfather, which is probably better as it has details of their respective fathers which is what I needed. |
