One of my ancestors was a street hawker, as listed on his daughters birth cert. "street hawker of Hanwell, U.D" I have looked up the occuption street hawker on the internet and i see it means peddlar, however not sure what the U.D stands for? I was wondering if anyone has any ideas? many thanks Su |
