the census is full of John Oaklands from Nottingham!!!! - as Kathleen has said, hers is the only one from the right date, but if you are looking further back take a look on the free Mormon LDS site |

Is this his birth? He seems to be the only John E. Oakland birth in Nottingham who would be of the right sort of age to be called up at the start of the first world war:- |

I am trying to find out where I can find information on a master Baker who had his own shop. he was called John Oakland living in Bulwell Nottingham and he had the shop until he was called up for the first world war. |
