I believe it could be any church which wasnt Anglican. So.Methodist,Baptist,Congregational,Wesleyan etc. Dont think you will find out unless you can find a baptism for a child. |

The name of the official who took the service, ...and signed the certificate, might help you find the correct church. |

My great-grandparents have a weird story surrounding them. The newspaper clipping of their golden wedding says they were married in the Methodist Chapel early in the morning because they wanted the canon from the C of E church to do the ceremony and it was the only time he could fit them in. |

For weddings that took place in the Church of England the Marriage licence was issued by the VIcar |

Remember that in early times the only places that you could get married in was the local Parish Church which was usually C of E. |
