Could anyone give any suggestions as to why I cannot find my grandmother (b)1899 G Grandmother 1876 and G Grandfather 1874 ,on the 1901 Census , could there be reason why they cannot be found . |

Which census have you checked.....England, Wales, Scotland, or Ireland. Consider also spelling variation of the names you seek. I spent hours looking for an Arnold which I eventually found spelt Arnett |

Thanks Alan....I have found this one in the past, Something not quite right is going on somewhere, I have Florence (1899) birth certificate and Harry and Florence Marriage cert, but have never been able to find them all on the census, I have just checked on the scottish census as well , still I can`t find them. |

Just like to say thankyou to you all, for all of your suggestions and time taken to help, I have several ideas to work with, most probably the spelling of the surname. This has been a real puzzle of mine for many years. |
