I am trying to help a friend with some family history and he has been told that one of his relations was hanged in 1923 |

A Frederick Keeling was executed on 11 April 1922 for the murder for Emily Agnes Dewberry. He was 54 years old. The hanging occurred at Pentonville Prison. |

I was just thinking, if you can get the death certificate, don't they usually have the cause of death as "death by judicial hanging" or some similar wording? It would probably be on his death certificate which might prove it one way or the other. |

Had a quick look and gives the details of the person hung an the victim any ideas where I could get more info on the trial. |

He was Frederick Alexander Keeling and was a plasterer....the story is available on "the Times online" and it looks as though it will cost £4.95 |
