I have often seen Reid on transcriptions and when you look at the actual image it reads Rich, short for Richard |

Julie, and Carter, Andover is not the correct registration district for the birth, It should come under Basingstoke registration district, also their is somthing written in the male age column but it has been crossed out and then written in the female column, I think the name North is as i originaly said Rich, without looking at the image, I have now checked both the images and it is hard to see but the last letter is defo a letter h on the 1841 and i still think it is young Richard who shows up on the 1851 census age abt 9 |

thanks so much for all your help with this i think i will send for the birth cert of richard and see where we go from there. he isnt around on the 1861 census and there are about 4 death on the bmd for richard bulpit 1856 - 1861 so he could have been one of those. |
