The site is also very good for checking out the spelling of places. Quite often place names are spelt incorrectly in the census, other peoples trees and other places and I often go on GenUk to check them out. |

Good tip:...If you're looking for someone or some help in, for instance a small village..Google it..say Loughborough....scroll down to GENUKI Loughborough....not all places will give you a Genuki, but by and large its very satisfying.Very often you'll see a whole load of stuff that links you to all sorts of records, some of which you can use on line....surprising how many Parish registers it gives you access to...........Try it! |
