Birth Certificate help, please

Have just rang the GRO and they explained it to me. Aparently, this is the original birth certificate, but the child was given up by the parents and adopted. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing the adoptive name or anything else. Sad, but there it is. |

The parents marriage certificate says batchelor/spinster and they were married 18 months before the child's birth. |

After a lot of searching I finally sent off for a birth certificate for someone from nearly 70 years ago. On the right hand side, just outside the box it says Adopted (that's all, nothing else). The parents were married 18 months before the birth and were batchelor/spinster. Registration of birth was 26 days afterwards. |
