Hi i wounder if anyone can help me please. I am trying to trace 2 death certificates The first one i'm trying to find is for my Gt Gt Gt grandfather. I know he came over to England from Ireland around 1848 i can locate him in the 1851 census but that is it. His name is Lackey Dolan i do not know if this was his real name it appears on his youngest son's birth cert as Lackey but in the 1851 census it's spelt Lacky. I can not find the family at all in the 1861 census, then when i go to the 1871 census i can find Lackey's wife Margaret but she is widowed, i have search between 1851 to 1891 but can not find a death cert at all i really am at a loss as what or where to search next. i am also having the same problem locating a death cert for my Gt Gt grandfather i have obtained a marriage and birth cert for him but no death cert. Again i can only find him in the 1851 census being the youngest son of Lackey John Dolan. When i look up the 1871 census i can find his wife but not him then when i go to the 1881 census i find his wife again but this time she is widowed so again i have search the time period needed and more but can not find the death cert. Please if anyone could help or point me in the right direction i would be so greatful . I would also love to no why i can not locate Lackey or John in any other census if anyone has the answers please let me no. |
