On the 1861 census Joseph Firkins brn 1834 West Brom Staffs is living with his wife Emma brn 1834 Birmingham in Ladywood Birmingham. Can anyone make out his occupation? I think it could be turner but am not sure |

I don't think it's turner, I think it starts with St. It looks like steerer but I don't know what that would be. |
