Ancestry have some names of people who got WW1 pensions, but not all names have been added yet. |

Just to clarify the situation. There are 2 series of WW1 service records at the National Archives for other ranks (i.e. non officers) WO364, the so-called Pension records. All of these are on Ancestry. The other series is WO 363, which is MUCH BIGGER. Ancestry just has surnames A-H so far, from this series, but the rest will be added sometime. Records aren't available anywhere else, unless the man was in a Guards Regiment - Grenadier, Coldstream, Irish, Welsh, Scots), in which case they may be available from Wellington Barracks in London. |
