Just came across what could be a useful website when I googled trying to find the origin of the surname Brammer and whether it could be a variant of Bramhall. I was pleased to see it was, but the site it took me to gives variants from early days of any surname you ask it to search for, including its place of origin and sometimes a little on the place and examples. Very useful, it is now in my favourites. |
