Viewing of birth, death & marriage certificates

Could anyone please tell me whether it is possible to view birth, death & marriage certificates prior to purchasing to make sure you have the right person. |

No - you can only view the entry in the index not the actual cert. If you are ordering a birth cert and you know either the mother or father's names you can give that as a check and if it is not correct they will not send the cert and will refund part of the charge. BUT you have to be careful as if , for example, you put Thomas and the cert has Thomas John, they won't send it. |

Sadly its a gamble Stephen. Lets be honest if you could view it then who would then pay £7 for it? |
