i don't want to confuse anyone but i find it easier to highlight what i want to copy as above, then hold down the Ctrl button and press the 'c' key, this will also copy the text. then you click where you want to paste and once again hold down the Ctrl button then press the 'v' button. and it will paste it in.

just a thought incase anyone can't find the copy/paste in drop down menu or in edit. hope that makes sense, just another option.

Just to add, it is often the simplest things that frustrate us, I remember my first "two-button" mouse and it took me months to learn what the right-hand button was for.

Don't be embarrassed to ask, we have all had to learn at some point.
