It's a case of looking for possible marriages for them and then finding them on the next census (if we are talking pre-1901) in the potential married name to see if place/year of bith matches up. |

When you look through the marriage register though it will only show the mans surname and first name and the womans maiden name and there are a lot of granthams out there unfortunately so it could take a while. that is if i am reading this correct ? |

julie - im having same problem. i only know my grandmothers name and d.o.b and im having to search thru every marriage for a lily thomas and hopefully narrow it down to a rough area then i will send for the marriage cert and match up the birth dates....its a pain in the rear lol...but without knowing the hubbys surname this is what u will have to do.. |
