Hi Kay,

Never heard of that one but I will give it a try and see if it works, thanks for info. I hate removing the ink it nearly took my hand off the last time I replaced it. Can't read German so can't follow what anything means.

Betty,
try this,,,,,,,,

switching on printer,,,then remove one of the inks,,,,,,then replace it, after 3/5 mins.........it may print off a test page,,if it does, put this under the scanner, and it just may re-align the printer head,,,,

Oh dear Betty. Well what I like about this HP one is that the HP service centre is so good. You go to their website and you can download bits free. Oh yes, amazon and most places deliver to your door. Have a look at PC World website.

Can you not download your instruction book from somewhere online - seems a pity to replace it if you just need to clean it.

Hi Everyone,

It doesn't help that the disc to setup the printed were in German not English!!

I can't speak for Epsons, but HP printers can occasionally recover with a clean / alignment. However if this doesn't work then a change of cartridge is usually the only option as it is the cartridge itself that contains the print jets.

I have a pcs 1355 and had a similar problem a month or so ago.

Turned out that one of the cartridges was naff. Shame, really, as I had only recently replaced it.

Thanks Heather,

This HP PSC 1410 from Amazon, were they able to deliver it to your home? Sounds good for only £45.

My HP PSC 1410 was about £45 I think - from amazon. Prints, copies, scans - does photo quality stuff. I buy all the replacement ink from Ink Club through quidco - 3 or 4 times the size same cost Mines a couple of years old and has been no trouble at all. They probably have a newer model now.

My Epson Printer/Scanner is not working properly, things I scan and print out have lines running from top to bottom.

I maybe need a new Scanner/Printer and suggestions for a not too expensive make/model that doesn't cost the earth for ink, easy to use and doesn't almost take your fingers off when you change the ink. Also the ink doesn't cost the earth either.

Oh yes and I need it to be delivered as I don't have a car.
