Handwritten amendments to BMD Indexes

Jonathon, see J44 would mean check the register for June 44, you will see M,J,S or D then a two digit year. |

Some of the BMD Index pages have handwritten amendments at the bottom. Some of these end in something like "see B'29" or "J'44". Can anyone tell me what this means? Apologies if this question has already been asked and answered hundreds of times, but I couldn't find it. |
