Might seem a bit obvious but who ( if anyone ) could I contact to find out which crematorium certain ancestors were cremated at ( I know they were in Nottingham and have the date deaths etc) and do they have any records of where the ashes may have been scattered etc. Is it just the council or another body? |

Best bet to contact all crematoriums in the area of the death. Im sure they will have records of such things. Plus might be worth asking close family ( if alive) as they may know. |

Cheers you two - no living relatives that were old enough at the time to recall so guess I'll have to contact the Crematoriums and take it from there. |

You will find the cemeteries in Nottingham very helpful if you email them with the names and dates you are interested in - they replied to me very quickly when I enquired. |
