Explain meaning of 4th Cousin once removed

Hi can anyone explain Cousin once or twice removed. I have found many cousin's who are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Some say that they are twice removed up to 4th and 5th removed. |

It is unlikely that you would have a living cousin 5 times removed, as this means you would have to be five generations apart. Once or twice removed is usually the max for living relations. |
