Disembodied means that his TA Call up was ended. ie a TA Regiment is embodied means it goes onto active service - disembodied = service over. Change of regiment happened quite a lot. When a battalion suffered heavy casualities for example the survivors would be posted to other regiments - nothing to do with promotion. Good luck |
