Don't know, but if you ever find it then I'd be interested too as I have a distant rellie also claiming to be born in Brandford MDX (1851) - this changes to Blanford (1861), Bronford (1881), and Bramford (1891 & 1901)!! Can't find any of those places, certainly not in Middlesex anyway! |

Many thanks Kath and Michael....I can understand what you both saying. I suspect dialects where pretty "heavy" for want of a better word. |

According to the 1871 census there is a Bedfont or a Brentford in Middlesex. Could it just be that the enumerators misheard one of these names? |

Does anyone know of a Brandford in Middlesex please. I have googled...but no help there....not even on google maps. |
