You cam change your name and call yourself absolutely any name you want, as long as its not to defraud. People long ago sometimes just assumed a name, and in more recent times, some went to a Solicitor to change their name Legally. Nowadays you can change your name by Deed Poll, but there is no law that you have to register it at any central place. I would think a paper trail from 1920 would be very unlikely. |

Well depending where they changed thier name.i assume it would have been near to where they live.. Then a check with local solicitors..if they are still around..might help you to find what your looking for. |
