Even in 1913 I would imagine that lots of names were spelt however the person recording it thought it should be spelt. |

If the informant just stated the name, the registrar may have spelt it as he/she thought it was spelt. |

I have found the death of my great grandfather who`s name was George Massie, he died in 1909 and the records show this way of spelling Massie. |
