Perhaps there was an inquest and the death was registered when the full verdict was known, although the burial had already taken place. |

That is a good thought, Gwyn. I was thinking, unlike now, they wouldn't have the means to store a body then like they would now in a mortuary. I suppose they would have to bury him sooner rather than later. |
