Hi everyone as a new member I am finding it very difficult to get started on our Irish branch. Has anyone any tips on how to get information about our family tree in Southern Ireland. All tips gratefully recieved. |

Eire, is very difficult as many records were destroyed in the troubles. If you try going on line to whatever county your relatives were from it may be helpful. |

Some irish counties are doing parish records and the history of the towns online, i have just found a whole clan from Kilrush, Co Clare, and the best of all if i would of googled my ancestors name and Ireland, i would have found her. I went the long way round, but there is a whole section relating to my great grandmother and family, (i'd been spelling her name wrong), So don't despair its getting better, but as said, a lot of records don't exist in most counties. |

Thank you all for your ideas I have been given a site in Ireland that gives me 1901 and 1911 census records so I have been able to go back three generations with our Irish families. |

Thank you everyone for your help I now have the information regarding my husbands family, I have copies of marriage cert's and am waiting for copies of birth certificates. I had been trying for so long to find a way to get this information, I had almost given up. Thank you all again. |
