sam thats great but now i am more confused. on the 1891 they are pickstock and on the 1901 they are joint and stepchildren !! they married 1892 and had 3 more children all pickstocks.
any ideas ?

hi iwonder if someone could please give me some help. i have a family on the 1901 census - samuel pickstock c1863 born Leigh Lancashire and his wife Jane c1860 born leigh lancashire
i have their marriage Marriages Dec 1892

Joint Jane Leigh 8c 407
Pickstock Samuel Leigh 8c 407

on the census it shows 3 children who are jane's by a previous relationship - william joint c1882 , maria joint c1886 and mary ann joint c1889.
i cant find these 3 children with their mother jane on the 1891 census. i am trying to find out who jane was married to previously (that is if she was )

any help would be much appreciated
