Thank's everyone I'v done it, Also corrected 1861 census for previous generation, They had them down as Rocher, yet it's quite plainly Proctor/er when you look at the image.
Thank's again Gill

Make sure you have the correct transcription on screen, then click on the Comments and Corrections. Add your correction - given name Joseph - plus any supporting comments you may like to add. Select whether the error is a mistranscription or original error and click submit.

You will receive an e-mail thanking you for your input.

It sounds more complex than it is. Some ancestors, like most of mine, are notoriously difficult to pin down. The more accurate the records, the better for everyone.

Thank's Chrisa & Kate, They have my grt grandad as John Proctor instead of Joseph on the 1901 census, It's the right record because all the rest of his family are correct.

Is it a census one or a BMD? You can correct census mistranscriptions by clicking on "comments and corrections" but I'm not sure if you can correct BMDs.
