Once I have a a BMD index reference for an event how do i find out further information eg names of brides parents without going to the expense of ordering the com[plete certificate. Some memebers have answered my queries saying they have quickly looked this up! |

The only way to be 100% sure that you get the correct names is to buy the cert's |

If its after 1837, as some do give both parents ,,but usually only just a fathers name. prior to this date its hit and miss........there maybe an alternative to look in Parish Registers for the area, these are kept at main libraries or the local Record Office,,,,,, |

You cannot see anything on line which identifies the parents of the bride and groom on marriage certs. |
